Honduras Mission Trip January 31 – February 7, 2026

 

Are you interested in serving on a missions trip? Here’s an overview of what to expect on our upcoming trip to Honduras:

 

Our mission partner, Commissioned International, operates the Bible Institute in Honduras, where our team will be based. Each day, we will travel to local villages to share the gospel and meet physical needs. We will also host a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the children and engage in construction work for the local church. Additionally, training sessions for local pastors will be held daily at the Bible Institute.

 

Important Dates:

NOV 13: Deadline for $500. deposit/application

NOV 16: 1st Team Meeting

DEC 15: Deadline for full payment ($1,500 minus deposit)

JAN 11: 2nd Team Meeting

JAN 25: 3rd Team Meeting

JAN 31: Depart Sumter/ Travel to Honduras

FEB 7: Depart Honduras/ Return to Sumter

 

• Your cost for this trip will be $1,500
• ADBC covers the remainder of the cost (roughly 50%)

MOMS Sumter is a program for mothers. We welcome all moms, no matter their background or stage of motherhood. Whether you are a military mom, grew up in Sumter, have little kids in diapers, or are sending kids off to college, MOMS Sumter is a great place to connect, grow, and find support.  The payment due at the first meeting is $50 for the semester or $100 for the entire year. All meetings will be from 9:00 AM- 11:30 AM in McManus Hall at Loring Mill.

This Middle School only overnight event is led by our High School student leaders, who are excited to grow alongside our middle schoolers for a night full of fun, fellowship, and meaningful biblical teaching. Middle schoolers from each campus are invited to attend!

 

The event begins Thursday, February 6 at 6:07 PM and ends Friday, February 7 at 7:06 AM.

 

Cost: $10 (pay at the door) — covers the entire event.

We will have baptisms on Sunday, February 8, during all services at every campus!

 

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision to follow Jesus. This is a great opportunity to take your next step in your journey with Jesus. If you are interested in baptism or have any questions, please fill out our baptism interest form and our Connections Director, Jamie Lotts, will reach out to you.

 

*Baptism Sunday will occur on the second Sunday of each month.

Do you want to help us make an impact in the community?

 

Join us in this effort as we Pack the Pantry for local ministries! All these donations are then distributed to families in need right here in the Sumter and Lee Community. Our Loring Mill and Pocalla campuses share their donations with Sumter United Ministries and our Bishopville Campus shares its donations with the Mt. Calvary Food Pantry.

 

We will collect these items February 8-March 1.

 

Below is a specific list of things these pantries need:

• Canned Meals: Beef Stew, Chef Boyardee
• Manwich
• Canned Tuna, Chicken, Ham Spam, Vienna Sausage
• Hamburger Helper, Tuna Helper
• Dry Milk/Powdered Milk
• Shelf-stable Milk (Almond milk on juice aisle)
• Mashed Potatoes: Individual bags or boxed
• Grits (Boxes with individual packets)
• Peanut Butter, Jelly
• Cereal
• Rice
• Pasta/Tomato Sauce

The items above are consistently in low supply. However, they will be thankful for any items donated, whether on the list or not.

 

You can drop off donations at any of our campuses during Sunday morning service times. Look for the drop-off spot in the lobby.

On Super Bowl Sunday, let's have some fun! Wear your favorite team attire. We will have a photo booth opportunity at each campus. We invite the entire church to get involved!
