LIFE Groups

Why LIFE Groups?

Belonging is an essential next step for each of us and we believe that belonging

happens best in LIFE Groups.  It’s where we do life together!

The Bible challenges us to fellowship with one another, love one another,

bear one another’s burdens, and encourage one another.

This is not easy as we are pulled by life in so many directions,

but once you find a group, you will enjoy the blessings of doing life together.

Other Group Options

If you are looking for other Group options beyond what you see listed here, please let us know! We also have Home Groups and Online Groups.  Reach out to Travis Pruden.

Women's Ministry

We believe that offering women a variety of ways to connect through activities they enjoy helps to build connection and community.

Women’s LIFE Groups

We offer women-only LIFE Groups, for more community and study, that meet on weekends and weekdays, and they all include childcare.  All studies are Biblically based and offer topics on growing with Christ, motherhood, books of the Bible, etc. Check out our latest LIFE Groups page here for the most up-to-date details.

MOMS Sumter

MOMS Sumter, formerly known as MOPs, is a ministry of motherhood. Whether you are a military mom, a Sumter-born and raised mom, a mom raising babies in diapers, or a mom sending kids off to college, this is for you! This is a place for women to find comfort and community with other women who get their joys and their struggles while encouraging each other with the Word of God.

We believe that every mom can connect with each other as sisters in Christ, no matter their background or age!

What to Expect?

Food: Each table takes turns bringing food to share

Speakers: To give insight, advice, and ideas

Small Groups: To encourage relationships

Crafts: Fun, easy projects, once a month

What does it cost?

$65 for the year. This covers childcare, speakers, craft supplies, and other meeting needs.

Is there Childcare?

Yes!!! While moms are in meetings, their children are divided by age where they can play, interact and socialize with each other and our trained, loving, and background-checked leaders.

*Babies 6 months and younger are welcome to join mom if she wishes.

Stitches of Love

Stitches of Love meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10am – 3pm.

Stitches of Love is a quilting ministry of ADBC.  Their mission is to be the hands of Jesus by using their gifts and talents to bless others.  In addition to making fun projects together, they also make baby quilts to donate to the crisis pregnancy centers in Sumter, to the young military couples at Shaw Air Force Base who go through parenting classes, local nursing homes, and to members of the church who have babies.  They make comfort caps for ladies who have lost their hair due to chemo or other medical reasons.

We welcome those who may be interested in sewing. If you don’t know how to sew, we will teach you. There are no dues or charges to our participants.

For more information, join their Facebook page: Stiches of Love Quilt Ministry.
